So I originally bought these for a 7-inch build running 1500KV motors, and BOY, did they get along nicely. Plenty of juice, great performance, and absolutely no complaints.
But then I discovered something beautiful.
These things make fantastic batteries for my 6S builds when I just want to take a damn day off.
Slap one of these 5S packs on a 6S build and suddenly the quad goes from "I'M ABOUT TO COMMIT SEVERAL AERONAUTICAL FELONIES" to "Hey, look at that cloud."
It genuinely tames the kwad. Takes some of that spicy attitude out of the throttle, gives me more usable cruising time, and turns an otherwise aggressive build into a perfectly happy little sky cruiser.
Sometimes I don't want to spend the afternoon threading gaps in abandoned concrete structures at questionable speeds. Sometimes I just want to cruise around, chase some birds (purely recreationally, bird bros, no beef), explore the scenery, and enjoy being airborne without trying to give my flight controller PTSD.
And that's where these packs shine.
I've actually come to appreciate keeping a pair of these 5S 2200mAh batteries around specifically for those days. They're my "today we touch grass, but from 200 feet up" batteries.
Verdict: 10/10 for recreational sky zoomies.
Not every flight needs to be a felony. Sometimes it's nice to just vibe with the clouds.
