The Mosquito BLV3 BNF

Overview

The NewBeeDrone Mosquito is an open prop nano that uses 40mm whoop propellers. Perfect for outdoor park and yard flying, the Mosquito is a nano drone you definitely have to try!

Originally, the Mosquito frame was released as a standalone drop-in frame for the NewBeeDrone AcroBee65 and Hummingbird Pro BNFs. Due to popular demand, we've released the Mosquito as a BNF.

Why Go Open Prop?

Ducts are great for preventing accidental damage from crashing whoops. However, they add a lot of weight and drag, decreasing flight performance. The Mosquito has open props while still having the footprint of a 75mm whoop.

Mosquito BLV3 BNF

Love it!!! Love the sturdiness of the frame and the FC V3 is the best NewBeeDrone has put out so far

Not what I expected

I must’ve gotten a dud because mine flies like garbage. It wobbles and feels horribly underpowered. I’ve gone over everything…screws, gummies, canopy, etc and can’t figure out why. I expected much more for $150. This should’ve come with the other style canopy because the little piece that holds the camera in the goober canopy breaks way too easily. Also….that bee eye camera is horrendous in comparison to something like a caddx ant or runcam nano 3. Video is way too dark/muddy and blurry

Bought the 'Skeeter after flying the Savage Bee for a few weeks because I loved it so much; the Mosquito is crazy fast for its size and makes for an excellent indoor whoop or backyard racing rig. Put it down pretty hard a few times and it just keeps getting up, super resilient because of the extremely low weight. The stock tune is fast on the throttle and best suited for racing, but if you play with rates a bit it can also make for a decent freestyle quad. Really enjoying the NBD micros, keep up the good work!
