V2 Version: We've updated the material to increase the durability of the Cockroach frame. This special new version comes in Teal and Ruby, two new colors to the Cockroach Brushless frame lineup!
Frustrated with constantly fixing struts and breaking frames, we set out to find something better.
We worked with a number of manufacturers and after numerous prototypes and revisions, we are proud to introduce the Cockroach Super-Durable Brushless Frame for Tiny Whoop style quads.
Traditional Looks and Geometry maintain those flight characteristics you are used to and ensure easy compatibility with the Beebrain as well as most other popular flight controllers.
Lightweight and Durable. We found a more forgiving and resilient material that doesn't sacrifice in weight or stiffness. Struts and other key support components have been redesigned to distribute and dissipate stress from crashes and falls. Total weight 5.1g
Easy and Inexpensive. None of this is any good if its super difficult to use and super expensive. So we made sure we set out to make something affordable. Key tolerances have also been fine tuned to make installation and removal much easier.
It's not called super-durable frame for nothing. Love the color variants that make your whoops look so cool and unique!!!!

Too Heavy, Bad Description
If you want a heavy and tanky frame, go for it, but... I strongly regret buying one of each color. The claim that they've found a stronger more resilient material doesn't apply to this frame. It in fact weighs 1.4g/37% heavier than the v1 frame! The sticky-backed felt pads are negligible to that weight comparison. Finally, the claim that, "Struts and other key support components have been redesigned..." is also not true. I've scrutinized my v1 frames to the v2's and there are no differences dimensionally. The translucent colors sure are nice though.

Total garbage frame. Broke after two hours. No warranty response.
Wish I never bought one, let alone two.
Brittle piece of crap broke in two places within the first two hours.
No response to the warranty request going on 10 days. Customer service at NBD ranks dead last out of the other vendors I regularly order from.
Right away, this is the best 65mm Whoop I know. Not even close.
I ordered two, one is more or less stock, just the PEEK motor screws and V3 cockroach. The second is upgraded to 0702 27000kV but will go back because I like the 25000kV more because of smoother throttle response and perfect betaflight tune.
Now the but:
1. On both quads I had to replace the BeeEye for a spare one because both are out of focus.
2. the yellow props were way too loose and very brittle. I lost two on my maiden. Black, blue and red are very tight (too tight for such a fragile prop) but if you get them on without bending them, they will last.
3. why does the quad not come with the lighter frame right away?
4. PH2.0…. You know the drill.
On that price point, even after the frame and PEEK upgrade I can forgive these quality issues. Especially considering the great tune and quality FC and motors. But be sure to order a replacement cam and props right away.
This was kind of a late night lark. I'd seen this upgrade for the Mk3 for a while and pondered whether it was a gimmick or not, and I'm pleased to say it's a genuinely good upgrade. It has reduced the noise of my Mk3 considerably. I haven't noted any significant increase in print quality, but the old drone of the bed is gone and that's completely worth it.
