The Emax Avan Blur propeller 2x1.9x3 was designed for Babyhawk Race 2 inch to maximize flight time and durability of the propeller without losing performance. This propeller is matched to Emax 1106 6000kv on 3s and 4s. A true 1.9" pitch throughout the blade gives a linear control feeling across the throttle band while still achieving high speeds. This allows for ease of flight and more precision. With a special PC blend the Avan Blur weighs 1.1 grams. Utilizing thicker airfoils greatly increases durability and stiffness. The hub diameter is also increased to thicken the root chord maximizing durability. Most of the weight is centralized near the hub creating a low moment of inertia of 0.77 grams*square centimeter which in turn makes a very responsive prop.
The Avan Blur was designed from the ground up starting from design constraints such as RPM, air speed, and required thrust. From these constraints aerodynamic models were built to predict performance and to design the blade shape. Highly cambered airfoils were used to achieve high lift coefficients at high angles of attack prolonging stall. This allows for a higher blade angle while still remaining efficient. The cambered airfoils also allow a greater flight envelope making for great low end responsiveness while still being able to achieve high speeds.
A special Polycarbonate blend is used to achieve high durability. This material is incredibly tough and ductile to resist fracture in high impact crashes. A thick blade root was designed to further increase this durability. Our injection mold process is optimized to reduce bubbles in the plastic to increase the strength of the propeller and to maintain superb balance.

Right away, this is the best 65mm Whoop I know. Not even close.
I ordered two, one is more or less stock, just the PEEK motor screws and V3 cockroach. The second is upgraded to 0702 27000kV but will go back because I like the 25000kV more because of smoother throttle response and perfect betaflight tune.
Now the but:
1. On both quads I had to replace the BeeEye for a spare one because both are out of focus.
2. the yellow props were way too loose and very brittle. I lost two on my maiden. Black, blue and red are very tight (too tight for such a fragile prop) but if you get them on without bending them, they will last.
3. why does the quad not come with the lighter frame right away?
4. PH2.0…. You know the drill.
On that price point, even after the frame and PEEK upgrade I can forgive these quality issues. Especially considering the great tune and quality FC and motors. But be sure to order a replacement cam and props right away.
This was kind of a late night lark. I'd seen this upgrade for the Mk3 for a while and pondered whether it was a gimmick or not, and I'm pleased to say it's a genuinely good upgrade. It has reduced the noise of my Mk3 considerably. I haven't noted any significant increase in print quality, but the old drone of the bed is gone and that's completely worth it.
