An AXII 5.8GHz antenna with a flexible coax that neatly exit the side of the case, terminated by a mmcx connector.
The TrueRC AXII 5.8GHz Antenna makes a giant leap forward in FPV antenna technology. TrueRC Canada brings you one of the smallest, lightest and best performing FPV antennas in the world. The AXII antenna is an original design that features a new RF pathway technology(unique hybrid network)allowing it to be incredibly light weight and less than half the size of most other 5.8GHz CP antennas.
Even though the AXII is both small and light weight, it does not sacrifice any performance. In fact it out performs most other antennas in all categories. Precision engineering has given this antenna a near perfect 1.0 Axial ratio resulting in a true circularity. On top of that the AXII has a high max gain of 1.6dBic enabling better range and penetration. It has a wide bandwidth covering the popular FPV 5GHz band from 5.5GHz-6.0GHz, ensuring you have a clear and strong signal no matter which frequency you’re on.
Please disregard my review above. Apparently NBD was having trouble receiving email from me. I contacted them through their FB page and got things straightened out.
As a customer, be sure that you understand what you are buying. I saw the product photo of this side feed antenna on their website that showed a straight MMCX connector, but after my initial review, I realized that the spec text listed it as a 90° connector. I made the purchase based on the photo, but what arrived was a 90° connector. Always double check all information provided, and if in doubt, contact the vendor.
As for NBD’s customer service, once I was able to communicate with them, they offered to make things right. Thank you NBD!
And lastly, I ran out of decent flying weather over the intervening two weeks, and haven’t had a chance to actually test the antenna in the air.

Disappointed
Disappointed not with the product, but with NBD customer service. They picked the wrong part and sent one that I cannot use. After three emails to their support email address over the past two weeks, I haven’t received any response from them. I’ll edit this rating if they ever get back to me, correct their mistake and replace the part with one that I can actually use.
Right away, this is the best 65mm Whoop I know. Not even close.
I ordered two, one is more or less stock, just the PEEK motor screws and V3 cockroach. The second is upgraded to 0702 27000kV but will go back because I like the 25000kV more because of smoother throttle response and perfect betaflight tune.
Now the but:
1. On both quads I had to replace the BeeEye for a spare one because both are out of focus.
2. the yellow props were way too loose and very brittle. I lost two on my maiden. Black, blue and red are very tight (too tight for such a fragile prop) but if you get them on without bending them, they will last.
3. why does the quad not come with the lighter frame right away?
4. PH2.0…. You know the drill.
On that price point, even after the frame and PEEK upgrade I can forgive these quality issues. Especially considering the great tune and quality FC and motors. But be sure to order a replacement cam and props right away.
This was kind of a late night lark. I'd seen this upgrade for the Mk3 for a while and pondered whether it was a gimmick or not, and I'm pleased to say it's a genuinely good upgrade. It has reduced the noise of my Mk3 considerably. I haven't noted any significant increase in print quality, but the old drone of the bed is gone and that's completely worth it.
