Very happy with this DJI vtx. I set it up on my 7" to replace my analog phoenix and the video upgrade can not be talked about enough. once I went digital, I just can't use analog anymore.

Good image
First time using digital video. Put this in a Armattan Gecko 4" with a Lumenier MiniF7 FC/ESC stack, and powered with a small 12V BEC/regulator.
Great image quality, but didn't survive a head on hit to the edge of a basketball backboard on my first test flight! OOF! I hit hard enough that I also bent the gecko's titanium cage and the quad tumbled a few dozen feet, so no surprise that the camera was shattered too, but that was my fault!
The runcam link unit survived and will be replacing the camera. All other components survived except the camera cage. Will be comparing the digital phoenix and wasp cameras soon.

Nope, bad low lighting, contrast way off
The Caddx Polar system blows this away, in low light and on proper contrast. Big Runcam fail here.
Update process is cumbersome, better if done with the VTX out of the quad. Also the update port is much flimsier than the earlier 2 antenna versions, IMO.
I use this mont for all my builds with a DJI O3 system. It comes with all the hardware nessassery and I like how is provides a small gap between the frame and the air unit so you can run wires under it. With all that said, it is still very low profile to fit on builds that use short 20mm standoffs too.
This thing is really fun and I haven't had to touch the PIDs at all. Super maneuverable on high rates and really mellow on low rates. I'm teaching my six year old grandson how to fly and he's doing great with it then raise the rates and I doing freestyle in my livingroom. Top off the performance with Newbeedrones awesome customer service and you can't lose. Newbeedrone is now my go to site for whoop stuff.
