NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V4 AIO - 1S Candy

I LOVE these little things. Like, genuinely. When I get a good batch, I'm basically ready to start a fan club.

They're cheap, they're packed with everything I want in a 1S AIO, and they've got plenty of electrical headroom for what I throw at them. The built-in LEDs? OH BABY. I love me some unnecessary illumination. If my tiny flying death biscuit isn't visible from low Earth orbit, what's even the point?

BUT...

We need to talk about quality control. Because apparently these things occasionally wake up and choose violence.

I've had two overheat for absolutely no apparent reason. Completely cooked. Not flyable.

One VTX decided it had fulfilled its earthly obligations and retired permanently.

One ELRS radio apparently got tired of communicating with the outside world and went on permanent vacation.

And another? The antenna connector literally broke off. Just yeeted itself into another dimension.

These little boards are DELICATE. Handle them like they're made from ancient Egyptian pottery. Don't sneeze near them. Don't look at them aggressively. Maybe whisper encouraging things while soldering.

Then there's the OSD chip.

Oh, the OSD chip.

I cannot seem to get the Betaflight logo replaced with a custom one, and the font support is pretty underwhelming. White text only, no proper black-and-white font support. It's not exactly an award-winning graphical experience. But whatever. It's a 1S AIO, not a NASA mission-control display.

And here's the really stupid part:

I STILL LOVE THEM.

When they work, they're fantastic. The feature set, price, electrical headroom, and built-in LEDs make them incredibly appealing. Despite the casualties, I keep coming back.

Would I like better QC? Absolutely.
Would I like a more capable OSD chip? You bet.
Would I buy more? IN A HEARTBEAT.

Verdict: 9/10 when you get a good one. A little less when it decides to become a hand warmer.

NewBeeDrone, please keep making these. Maybe reinforce them with the structural integrity of a Nokia 3310, but PLEASE keep making them.

I would buy another 1,000. My wallet has already accepted its fate

Durable fc and good price.

This is my goto for whoop fc if you don’t wanna use blackbox. Durable, decent price, leds, good weight. Stop using fragile air fc and change to this one.

GREAT AIO!!!

Lot into a Hummingbird frame with 802 25,000kv, it rips! Live that it's EVERYTHING, so lost some weight by ditching the UART VTX and RX. Love the LEDs!
