The NewBeeDrone LionBee Long Range Developer Kit is a completely new approach to 1S long-range FPV drone design. Engineered around an innovative 18650 structural-integrated flight controller, the LionBee introduces breakthroughs that redefine what a micro long-range drone can be. By mounting the AIO FC directly onto the battery chamber, the frame gains natural vibration resistance, reduced complexity, and improved electrical efficiency—something never before seen in the FPV world.

To unlock true 1S long-range performance, LionBee features a custom 0.5mm brass high-current conduction system, eliminating the bottleneck found in traditional 18650 battery holders. This high cross-section path allows modern high-discharge 18650 cells—such as JP30—to reach their full potential, providing freestyle-capable thrust on a single cell.

LionBee also introduces the world’s first 1S ESC built on a 32-bit MCU, developed in collaboration with the AM32 team for optimized performance. At the core of the AIO is the AT32F435 288MHz processor, delivering exceptional computational power for advanced flight control, video transmission, and integrated receiver functions. Despite the single-sided PCB layout, the system includes an 800mW Smart-Max VTX, providing temperature-adaptive power output for safe and reliable long-range video transmission.

A full reverse-polarity protection circuit ensures that accidentally inserting the 18650 battery backward will not damage the FC, ESC, PA, or other electronic components—an essential safeguard for field operation. The redesigned modular replaceable battery chamber features factory-soldered brass terminals and allows quick replacement if damaged during impact. (Please note that the reverse polarity protection circuit does not function while also having USB plugged in)

Released as a Developer Kit, the LionBee is designed for pilots, engineers, and innovators who want to take part in shaping the next generation of micro long-range FPV. It is more than a product—it’s an expandable, experimental platform for R&D exploration and community-driven evolution.

This thing was perfect for my fpv diy drone ideas! I had wanted something that i could solder on, put together, mess with the settings, and fly it!

Seriously cool quad

For a dev kit, this thing flies great. Awesome cruiser, really long flight times are nice! Only complaint is radio signal seems weak, but gonna try repositioning antenna or replacing with a different design. Would happily buy a second one.

really nice, there are some things that need a lot of work like the tune and the battery scale needs to be adjusted, but the basic motherboard is excellent compared to other aio's i've tried to build 1s lr drones from before.

I think the drone is great it flies for a long time with pretty good range the one complaint is the vtx antenna feels very vulnerable. It presses on the battery slot and gets bends when it crashes so I know it will be the first thing to break

Great little kits!

A few minutes with a soldering iron and a bit/driver, and you're in business. Fun to fly.
