Awesome Motors for Their Purpose.

If you are trying to build a somewhat sluggish controllable build for smaller footprint indoor flying, these motors are great...they don't throw you into a wall with minor throttle input like higher KV motos, giving you larger throttle inputs to work with....very nice, again for what they are intended.

Motors used for 20mm ducted fans

Using these motors on 2s for 20mm ducted fans with HQ 1.2x1.3x4 props cut down to about 20.4mm, with the ducting cut from pill bottles. The ducting tubes were notched to fit on the legs of a whoop frame, where scuffing all the joint areas is important for solid glue joints. The fan units can now be cut away from the whoop frame and used. The motors on 2s with wire direct soldered are running at around 3.6A and 121F and seem to be holding up. From past experience using 8mm heli brushless inrunners in 20mm fans, the thrust should be at least 22 grams each, although I haven't measured it yet. I currently have 4 of them built and running for a Vickers VC10 airliner project.

Powerful and efficient!

I paired these motors with a 1s HummingBirdV4 AIO on a 75mm Cockroach frame running 300mah nitro nectars and was very impressed with its performance! While not a punch-out beast, it certainly as enough power for some fun freestyling. I was most impressed with its very low current draw, peaking at only 8amps giving me much more flight time. Very satisfied

More power

Maybe I need to try some different props motors overall are good. Hit a couple walls so far. Been holding up. Good for lightweight flying around the house but are not very powerful.

Solid motors, less punchy than I'm used to, but that's intentional!

I've grown to like these motors for my own flying too! Using them on a 65mm 1s whoop. I knew they'd be a little less intense than some of the higher kv motors I usually fly, (major shoutout to the NBD 0702 30,000kv hummingbird motors! 🚀 ) but I wanted to build a drone for my girlfriend to practice with and for friends to get to try out in angle mode and not have it be too zippy.

With a little PID tuning, less twitchy rates, and some throttle expo it's perfect! Combined with Newbeedrone's Azi 4 blade props, it's and stable and great for cruising. Feels like a micro cine-whoop... except, you know... analog and all 😂
