Frustrated with constantly fixing struts and breaking frames, we set out to find something better.
We worked with a number of manufacturers and after numerous prototypes and revisions, we are proud to introduce the Cockroach Super-Durable Brushless Frame for Tiny Whoop style quads.
Traditional Looks and Geometry maintain those flight characteristics you are used to and ensure easy compatibility with the Beebrain as well as most other popular flight controllers.
Lightweight and Durable. We found a more forgiving and resilient material that doesn't sacrifice in weight or stiffness. Struts and other key support components have been redesigned to distribute and dissipate stress from crashes and falls. Total weight 3.71g
Easy and Inexpensive. None of this is any good if its super difficult to use and super expensive. So we made sure we set out to make something affordable. Key tolerances have also been fine tuned to make installation and removal much easier.
Don‘t get me wrong, this is the best flying 65mm whoop you can buy. By far.
I ordered two, one I upgraded to 0702 27000kv, the other one is stock. But I had to do:
-change to the lighter frame and PEEK screws
-soldered BT2.0, PH cannot handle the current.
-change both Beeeye cameras because they were out of focus
-change the yellow props because they were brittle and way too loose. Red, blue and black ones seem fine.
If you would ask me if the 0702 upgrade is worth it, I would say no. You get topend power but the tune seems not as good as with 0802 and lowend performance is way better with the 0802s. Flight times seem identical. I will try the 0802 27000kv next.

Super fragile and heavier than the alternatives
Love your motors but I am very disappointed by the quality of these frames. Free replacement isn't worth it if they last less than a week..

Amazing frame
My favorite frame

Best frame for whoops
Honestly I feel this frame is more stiffer and robust than the betafpv meteor65 frame. It can handle a lot of hard crashes, light weight too. It protects the props and the motor shafts well in crashes unlike the meteor 65 frame that is too flexible and gives very less prop protection.
Right away, this is the best 65mm Whoop I know. Not even close.
I ordered two, one is more or less stock, just the PEEK motor screws and V3 cockroach. The second is upgraded to 0702 27000kV but will go back because I like the 25000kV more because of smoother throttle response and perfect betaflight tune.
Now the but:
1. On both quads I had to replace the BeeEye for a spare one because both are out of focus.
2. the yellow props were way too loose and very brittle. I lost two on my maiden. Black, blue and red are very tight (too tight for such a fragile prop) but if you get them on without bending them, they will last.
3. why does the quad not come with the lighter frame right away?
4. PH2.0…. You know the drill.
On that price point, even after the frame and PEEK upgrade I can forgive these quality issues. Especially considering the great tune and quality FC and motors. But be sure to order a replacement cam and props right away.
This was kind of a late night lark. I'd seen this upgrade for the Mk3 for a while and pondered whether it was a gimmick or not, and I'm pleased to say it's a genuinely good upgrade. It has reduced the noise of my Mk3 considerably. I haven't noted any significant increase in print quality, but the old drone of the bed is gone and that's completely worth it.
