I used the 8420KV version of this motor to build twin 2.5” quads using BetaFPV’s HX115 LR frame. These are small analog quads with Foxeer Toothless cameras, iFlight F7 Beast AIO FCs, TBS Crossfire Nano RXs, TBS Unify Pro32 Nano VTXs and TBS Triumph video antennas. I’m currently running these with GenFan 2512 props and RDQ 650mah LiHV batteries and they have plenty of power.
My one complaint is after any small crash I have one or two motors that won’t spin until I manually pull on the motor bells and get them spinning freely. This makes flip over after crash useless, but it only takes a minute or two to get the quad back in the air once I retrieve it.
11,000KV motors are sweet, smooth and full of punch on 1s. First got introduced to them via the Savagebee. Beyond how they perform which is great, they are typically in stock and priced well. Can’t recommend them enough.
I was able to get a better tune on these than my rcinpower motors, which I still love! It is hard to find 1s motors these days in stock.
I’m loving these motors. I’ve been using them on my savage bee and loved them so much I bought 4 sets more for my other kwads. I’ll be switching them all once I wreak my other motors. These motors have the power to zip around or recover out of a close call when I need to. Very smooth running motors.
These work perfectly in my Babytooth 1S build. They have provide a smooth flight performance for my ultra lightweight 3" build. Very nice!
