Every machine or instruments needs tuning to get optimal performance. Same goes for drones. This bird is all ready to go right out of the box.
SPI ELRS3.0 receiver (Binding instruction: power on the drone, push the bind button under the flight controller to get into bind mode. If your remote control is not ELRS3.0 or above version. You will need to update your remote controller ELRS to 3.0 version because betaflight 4.4 will no longer support any lower version of 3.0) Please read through the SPI base information if you have difficulty with binding

If you mess up the setting?
The stock firmware comes with all settings, including PID tune data. If you change anything and feel that it does not perform as well as the original settings, you can reset it in Betaflight under the Setup tab to bring it back to the factory default.
Binding procedure:
To bind, connect to USB power or a battery source. Push the bind button on the front bottom of the flight controller to trigger the binding mode. Bind it to your radio controller. (Note: The Hummingbird v3 only supports ELRS 3.0 or a later version. If your remote controller is ELRS 2.5, you will need to update your ELRS TX Module.)
I've been away for a few years, and wanted to purchase an "updated" whoop. I am sooooo glad I chose the Hummingbird V3! The tune on this was spot on, and this thing just flies so good!! Going to grab a couple more just have have around now!

Defective Drone
Received the hummingbird V3 1 month after originally placing the order that show instock. After two battery packs, Motor 3 stopped working. Oscilloscope showed defective mossfett. Newbeedrone customer service is horrible, slow and wants to "evaluate" before replacing. Cheap made FC and many reviews showing VTX failures as well as others. Recommend going with something else such as the Mobula 6

Bought this hummingbird 2 weeks ago and now during a flight it falls from the sky and says “rx loss fail safe”. I bought one and loved it so much that I bought this second one. I reached out to support so I’ll have to wait and see what they say.
Update: after sending them a video and doing all troubleshooting they asked me to do, I had to send the hummingbird back to them so they can test it themselves. Turns out they replaced the flight controler for me and sent it back to me. Thanks newbedrone for awesome service. Will update this review if anything else comes up. Thanks again NBD.

An excellent upgrade for the goggles X. Much more comfortable vs. any foam I've used to date, including the stock foam which does not fit my narrow face.
