We are happy to introduce the new member of the Smoov family!
Ring Magnets for an FPV drone? Yes! We here at team NewBeeDrone have been putting in countless hours to figure out how we can improve upon our Smoov-Certified freestyle motor. One that provides super smooth performance for freestyle and cinematic FPV while maintaining the durability and precision machining you've come to expect from NewBeeDrone. We are proud to say that we have done just that... again!
The 2306.5 Smoov V2 ring magnet motor has not only improved upon our very successful V1 motor, is now 3 grams lighter! It is constructed using a 7075 aluminum alloy unibell design for the best structural rigidity and comes with fully molded ring-style magnets. Ring motors are also easier to clean than traditional motors. Unlike traditional square magnet motors, the Smoov ring magnets have no physical spacing between the magnets to allow for quick and easy removal of dirt, grime, or anything you can manage to get into them.
Making a fully molded ring magnet with high magnetic flux density is at the heart of our design. We have developed a ring magnet that can hold up to N48SH levels! Ring magnets are typically used in camera gimbals because they need to operate silky smooth. Traditional gimbal motors are super smooth but they lack punch and power. The Smoov V2 motors have both, along with improved balancing and better performance. The Smoov V2 ring magnet motors have more punch, less weight, higher strength, and they're Smoover than ever!

At first I have a relatively low flight time with my Meteor65 Pro. Then I decided to lighten the Pro. I think because the motors (smaller) have a lower current draw the Nitro Nector Golds are really shining. It is at least comparable to a lot of other packs I have. So the capacity is definitely great, just don’t use them in a high current environment and they will work very well.
For tiny whoop racing, I prefer this motor with the hummingbird guts (AIO camera and canopy) on the 65pro frame with 4-blade 35mm props. Close to 20g, phenomenal run time.
Some people at the racetrack (and CIOTTI) call this an "old school" motor.
I usually make my own 180 degree power pigtail, but BETAFPV designed the perfect pigtail for a fair price, had to buy them... I usually don't like BETAFPV BT2.0 pigtail wires, the silicon is high quality, but where you solder the wire right next to the wire is where it always breaks, I don't expect this to change :-(
I would recommend these excellent BT2.0 Cable Pigtails :-))))
